By Dianne Hofmeyr
Illustrated by Carol Thompson

A joyful celebration of play and imagination, perfect for sharing and reading aloud.

Storm! Storm!

Rain raps the window, wind rattles the door.

"Let's look for storm dragons," says Grandpa.

"Watch out, dragons. We're coming!"

Off they go, Grandpa and grandchild, down to the beach for a wild and wonderful adventure...

They find dragon footprints, dragon jewels and even a dragon baby, but what will happen when they find the REAL Storm Dragon?

Dianne Hofmeyr

Author

Dianne Hofmeyr grew up on the southern tip of Africa and was an art and ceramics teacher. She lives in central London with her family nearby. Journeys to faraway places like China, Siberia and Senegal often inspire the thread of her stories and her shelves overflow with notebooks, maps and scraps of paper. Her picture books are translated into many languages. The Magic Bojabi Tree, illustrated by Piet Grobler, was nominated for the 2014 Kate Greenaway Award and Zeraffa Giraffa, illustrated by Jane Ray, was chosen by the Sunday Times for the Top 100 Children’s Classics List.

Carol Thompson

Illustrator

Carol Thompson is the illustrator and in some cases author/illustrator of more than sixty books that have been translated into over twenty languages. She has had many award-winning books, including Mommy, Mama and Me, and Daddy, Papa and Me, which were both winners of the Stonewall Honour Picture Book Award, and Thunderboomer, which was a 2010 American Library Association Notable Book, Smithsonian Museum Notable Books for Children and a School Library Journal Best Book of the Year. One.Two.Three, Jump! was included in the Guardian top 10 most inclusive books for children. Underlying Carol's work is a belief in the power of picture books and stories to show a child that there is 'someone else like me!'
