Janetta Otter-Barry began her publishing career with the distinguished Scottish publisher Blackie, moving on to be editorial director of the famous children’s imprint Methuen Children’s Books, where she was Dick Bruna’s editor. In 1988 she was invited to join Frances Lincoln, and played a key role in the setting up and development of the award-winning children’s list at Frances Lincoln Children's Books (FLCB), specialising in cultural diversity and inclusion, working with many of the top names in children’s books, and publishing the classic picture book Amazing Grace by Mary Hoffman and Caroline Binch, celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2015. From 2009-2015, Janetta ran her own business, creating 20 titles a year exclusively for FLCB.

Judith Escreet started her publishing career at Mitchell Beazley, and went on to set up a small packager with a colleague, creating children’s non-fiction titles. When Sebastian Walker set up Walker Books she worked with Amelia Edwards and Wendy Boase on the first titles for the company and was a designer there for ten years. She joined Frances Lincoln as Art Director in 1991, working closely with Janetta Otter-Barry, and from 2013 has worked with Janetta as a freelance designer.
Head of Rights - Otter-Barry Books Team
Caterina Favaretto heads up Foreign and Subsidiary Rights at Otter-Barry Books following twelve years at Frances Lincoln Publishers, including six as Rights Manager where she successfully developed a network of contacts worldwide with particular emphasis on emerging markets. Caterina has particular expertise in selling high quality illustrated children’s books in co-edition and through licence deals.

Gail Lynch started her publishing career at BBC Books in 1984. She subsequently worked at publishers including Pan Macmillan, Chatto & Windus, Jonathan Cape, Heinemann, Arrow, Granta Books, Harper Press and Oneworld Publications. She met Janetta Otter-Barry while she was Sales and Marketing Director at Frances Lincoln Children's Books (2007-2012). In January 2015 Gail set up a freelance sales consultancy company, Garden Door Ltd, and began working with Otter-Barry Books.

Typography lover and books lover, Arianna Osti is a freelance graphic designer with a passion for typefaces and lettering. She graduated from Camberwell College of Arts and has been working in the publishing field for more than seven years, designing a variety of projects for the Italian and English market.
Publicist - Otter-Barry Books Team
Nicky Potter is a publicist specialising in children’s literature and social inclusion. A trustee of the English Association and a Philippa Pearce Memorial Lecture committee member, she served on a steering group set up by Arts Council England to promote diversity in children’s books and worked for the office of the Children’s Laureate with Jacqueline Wilson and Michael Rosen. She currently works with Seven Stories, The National Centre for Children’s Books, The Children’s Bookshow and The School Library Association, in addition to her publishing work. She has enjoyed working with Janetta since 1989, helping to build Frances Lincoln Children’s Books.

Jon Rippon is a board level finance and operations director with more than 15 years experience specifically in the publishing industry. Formally the finance director for Frances Lincoln and then Constable and Robinson, Jon now runs his own consultancy – Rippon Publishing Management. He is a member of, and is regulated by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
