Carol Thompson

Carol Thompson is the illustrator and in some cases author/illustrator of more than sixty books that have been translated into over twenty languages. She has had many award-winning books, including Mommy, Mama and Me, and Daddy, Papa and Me, which were both winners of the Stonewall Honour Picture Book Award, and Thunderboomer, which was a 2010 American Library Association Notable Book, Smithsonian Museum Notable Books for Children and a School Library Journal Best Book of the Year. One.Two.Three, Jump! was included in the Guardian top 10 most inclusive books for children. Underlying Carol's work is a belief in the power of picture books and stories to show a child that there is 'someone else like me!' Carol is an IBBY UK committee member, has three sons and lives in Leicestershire.
